Equally as good as Meltdown #1! This story centers around Nash, who I fell in love with in the first book.
The first chapter I was a little confused....I thought it was like an excerpt from another story from this author. But it all came together. This book had it all; suspense, sadness, shock, secrets, heartache and regret.....
We learn that Nash wants nothing to do with love anymore after a terrible incident in his past. But Rowan is there....the nurse hired to take care of his cancer-riddled mom.
I wanted her champagne lips and wet dream scent more than I'd ever wanted anything in my life, which was why I needed to stay the hell away. Too bad I didn't want to.
There is so much in this book and I made so many notes, but don't want to give any spoilers away, so I will keep this very general. There were many dimensions to these characters and this story.
The security team is back, who I loved in book one. And I truly loved Nash's mom and how much he loved her. I loved the romance between Rowan and Nash.
My chest ached with love, but my head swam with confusion. I was furious, yet relieved, sad but also happy, full of contradictions and a mess of emotions. (Nash)
With that said, I cannot wait to continue this series! Highly recommend!!
RB Hilliard lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two children. OMG, this book was a real treat! It's not your normal Rockstar Romance.....Grant Hardy falls off the stage under the influence one night and is forced into rehab. He returns to the tour to prove that he was set up, but he comes back with a therapist in tow. Mallory is a woman with a dark past and a lot of secrets. She needs to keep things strictly business even though she finds Grant very enticing.
The man was a spoonful of charisma and a heaping side of sexy with a vocal range to die for.....Grant Erwin Hardy had a depth to him that both scared and intrigued me.
And Grant finds her a "distraction".
Mallory Scott was quickly becoming a distraction I didn't need but wanted. God, how I wanted her.
Besides romance, this book had a plot with so many twists and turns, I had no idea who did what until the very end and have to say I never saw it coming!
And while I loved all the main characters, I fell in love with their security guys too. But there are also characters you will despise!
This was a great read! Can't wait to get into book 2 and get Nash's story!
She was everything I never knew I wanted and more.
Highly recommend! I will definitely read R.B. Hilliard again!!
